Two Wrexham players would have benefitted from having a breather more than others during the international break.
Callum Doyle and Anthony Patterson are highlighted by Richard Williams as the two Wrexham players who most needed a rest during the international break. While seven squad members featured in all eight Championship fixtures heading into the hiatus, Doyle and Patterson were the only two players to start every single league match for manager Phil Parkinson.
Centre-back Doyle has started every fixture across all competitions in the 2026-27 campaign, including an opening League Cup match before goalkeeper Patterson arrived from Sunderland. Other regulars such as Dominic Hyam, Ben Whiteman, and top scorer Kieffer Moore also played extensive minutes, though Moore remained active on international duty with Wales.
