The Cincinnati Bengals announced that wide receiver Tee Higgins suffered an adductor injury late in their 22-17 Week 4 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Despite attempting to return for one play late in the fourth quarter, Higgins is expected to miss considerable time, potentially two to three weeks depending on the severity of the groin strain. Before exiting, Higgins recorded 11 receptions for 157 receiving yards.
The setback adds to a mounting injury crisis for Cincinnati, as fellow star receiver Ja'Marr Chase also left the game during the first half with a concussion. Head coach Zac Taylor noted that Higgins tried to battle through the issue to assist the struggling offense, but Cincinnati ultimately failed to convert a late fourth-and-10, dropping their record to 2-2 on the season.
