The five-time Major winner has swapped out his 2017 TaylorMade M2 fairway wood for an R7 Quad mini driver, with the move helping Koepka jump into contention on Scotland's East coast

Brooks Koepka has made a rare equipment switch at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland, replacing his long-trusted 2017 TaylorMade M2 fairway wood with a TaylorMade R7 Quad mini driver. Koepka kept his Mitsubishi Diamana D+ 80 TX shaft in the new club, which features 13.5 degrees of loft compared to the 16.5 degrees on his previous 3HL model.
The change comes as mini drivers see record usage, with 49 players (29.2% of the field) using one during the event. Koepka entered contention by sitting at eight-under after two rounds, trailing leader Casey Jarvis by three shots as he aims to become the first American winner of the tournament.
