Knicks Insider Favors Surprising Choice Over Former No. 2 Pick

SNY reporter Ian Begley believes Drew Eubanks is the safest choice over James Wiseman for the New York Knicks' final roster spot at center. Despite Wiseman impressing during training camp and scoring eight points in nine preseason minutes against the Philadelphia 76ers, Begley suggested that New York's championship aspirations make Eubanks the more reliable option.

Wiseman, selected second overall in the 2020 NBA Draft, continues to face durability questions following past injury struggles. Begley noted that the Knicks could reconsider their center depth ahead of the February trade deadline, but currently view Eubanks as a more dependable reserve option.
