2027 NFL mock draft gives Bills the defensive help they clearly need

Brandon Ray of BuffaLowDown highlights a CBS Sports 2027 mock draft by Ryan Wilson that projects the Buffalo Bills to select Notre Dame linebacker Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa. The writer argues that Buffalo urgently needs defensive reinforcements due to poor linebacker play and growing pains under new defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard, pointing out that the defense is allowing 372 yards per game through the first four contests.

According to Ray, Buffalo needs a versatile linebacker comparable to Matt Milano who can excel in pass coverage. Viliamu-Asa is described as possessing strong run-stopping instincts and coverage skills, with Ray viewing him as a potential long-term solution for Buffalo's defensive front.
