The Brewers break a postseason road losing streak by defeating the Padres to advance to the NLCS for the second year in a row.

The Milwaukee Brewers advanced to the National League Championship Series by defeating the San Diego Padres 3-1 on Wednesday night, taking the Division Series 3-1. Garrett Mitchell delivered a tiebreaking run and a critical eighth-inning defensive catch, while four Brewers pitchers combined to limit San Diego to just three hits. The victory snapped Milwaukee's 12-game postseason road losing streak and secured a matchup with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Jackson Chourio drove in Mitchell in the fifth inning, becoming the Brewers' all-time postseason RBI leader with 17. Fernando Tatis Jr. provided San Diego's lone run with a solo home run in the third inning off Robert Gasser. The Brewers will now face the Dodgers in an NLCS rematch after Los Angeles swept them in the previous postseason.
