Everton’s owners have put the club up for sale less than two years after acquiring a controlling interest in the club.
The Friedkin Group has officially put Everton Football Club up for sale, confirming it is exploring new investment options including the potential sale of a controlling interest. The decision comes less than two years after the group acquired Farhad Moshiri's 94.1 percent stake in December 2024.
During its tenure, The Friedkin Group helped resolve financial uncertainties and oversaw the club's transition from Goodison Park to the new Hill Dickinson Stadium. In a statement, the group noted that the club's foundation is secure, adding that it will only entertain interest from parties capable of properly taking Everton forward.
