Scotland's Grant Forrest carded a four-under 67 in the second round to take a one-stroke lead into the weekend at the Open de Espana. Forrest moved to nine-under-par overall at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid, continuing his strong historical form at the event where he has never missed the cut in six previous appearances.
Fellow Scotsman Connor Syme and Switzerland's Joel Girrbach share second place at eight under par, alongside Spain's Eugenio Chacarra and England's Joe Dean. Meanwhile, Race to Dubai leader Patrick Reed missed the cut, opening an opportunity for Chacarra to gain significant ground in the rankings with a victory.
