The Washington Commanders got good news Friday when head coach Dan Quinn officially announced that star quarterback Jayden Daniels would be the starter for Sunday's pivotal NFC East game against the New York Giants.
Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn announced that quarterback Jayden Daniels will start Sunday's NFC East game against the New York Giants. Daniels has been sidelined since dislocating his left elbow in Week 2 against the Dallas Cowboys, choosing to wear a protective brace rather than undergo surgery to accelerate his recovery.
Daniels returns with Washington sitting at 1-3 following a knee injury to backup Marcus Mariota in Week 4. While the Commanders regain Daniels, they will be without wide receiver Stefon Diggs and safeties Tyler Owens, Percy Butler, and Nick Cross, while Terry McLaurin is listed as questionable.
