The Story in 60 Seconds

New Zealand fast bowler Will O'Rourke has been ruled out of the upcoming ODI and Test series against India. New Zealand Cricket confirmed on October 10 that the 25-year-old pacer is still recovering from left hamstring and calf injuries. Coach Rob Walter noted that the medical team advised additional recovery time to prepare him for the Australia Test series in December.

The 6ft 6in pacer's absence is a major blow for New Zealand, with O'Rourke having claimed 49 wickets in his first 14 Tests. Both squads are dealing with fitness concerns, as Rachin Ravindra faces shoulder issues and India manages the workloads of Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya.
