Adrian Bernecich writes that Portland Trail Blazers wing Vit Krejci faces immense pressure to regain his three-point shooting touch this season. After being acquired eight months prior, the 26-year-old struggled from deep, making just 30.3 percent of his three-point attempts over 19 appearances with Portland. Despite those struggles, Krejci's contract is set to become fully guaranteed on opening night as he competes with Branden Carlson for the 10th spot in the rotation.
Bernecich argues that Krejci's rotation role is vital following Shaedon Sharpe's meniscus tear, but warns he may quickly fall out of favor without efficient shooting. The author notes that Krejci previously shot over 40 percent from distance with the Atlanta Hawks and must regain that form to remain in the NBA long term and space the floor for teammates.
