New Zealand has announced two distinct squads for their upcoming five-match ODI series against India starting November 4 in Auckland. Captained by Mitchell Santner throughout, the Black Caps will rest key Test players after the third ODI to manage workloads ahead of the Test series beginning November 19 in Wellington. Devon Conway, Rachin Ravindra, Daryl Mitchell, Tom Latham, Glenn Phillips, Kyle Jamieson, and Matt Henry will feature only in the first three fixtures.
The final two matches will see inclusions such as Finn Allen, Tim Seifert, and Lockie Ferguson. Will O'Rourke, Zak Foulkes, and Ben Sears remain unavailable through injury. Additionally, the report notes that Indian selectors are also expected to adopt a similar split-squad strategy to rest senior players for the final two ODIs.
