Real Madrid forward Vinícius Júnior has apologised to his teammates and fans after receiving a straight red card during their 1-0 LaLiga victory over Villarreal at the Santiago Bernabéu on Saturday.
Real Madrid forward Vinícius Júnior apologized to his teammates and supporters after being sent off during a 1-0 LaLiga win against Villarreal. The Brazilian received a straight red card following a VAR review that showed him pulling the hair of defender Nathan Saliba. The incident occurred approximately 20 minutes after he entered the match as a second-half substitute.
Vinícius now faces a potential one-to-three-match suspension for violent conduct under Spanish Football Federation rules, which could rule him out of the upcoming El Clásico fixture against Barcelona on October 25. Meanwhile, Barcelona maintained top spot in LaLiga with a 3-0 victory over Getafe featuring goals from Anthony Gordon, Gabriel Jesus, and Jules Koundé.
