Wouter Vrancken felt swashbuckling Hearts took another step towards becoming the team he wants them to be
Hearts manager Wouter Vrancken expressed his delight after his team delivered a 5-0 victory against St Mirren at Tynecastle. Laurent Mendy opened the scoring in the 20th minute, followed by two penalties from Calvin Miller and additional goals by Claudio Braga and Josh McPake. The result marked the club's biggest home league win in three-and-a-half years.
The triumph maintained Hearts' perfect home record in the Premiership since Vrancken took over in June, making them the division's top scorers with 19 goals in eight games. St Mirren manager Craig McLeish lamented avoidable mistakes and penalties after his side suffered a fourth consecutive league defeat.
