New Hibernian boss Reedijk endured a disappointing debut as his side suffered a 1-0 defeat against Dundee United at Tannadice.
Marink Reedijk suffered a defeat in his managerial debut as Hibernian fell 1-0 to Dundee United at Tannadice. On-loan QPR winger Daniel Bennie scored the decisive goal in the 35th minute after connecting with a cross from Lyall Cameron. The victory marked Dundee United's first home league win of the season and lifted them to fifth place in the Premiership table.
Hibernian finished the match with 10 players following an 80th-minute red card for substitute Jacob Devaney, who was dismissed after a VAR review ruled his foul on Neil Farrugia was a last-man challenge outside the box. Despite late pressure and an added-time effort from Martin Boyle saved by Jack Walton, Hibs remained in 10th place.
