“I’m here and want to be here to help him be the best version and help him be in that MVP conversation.”

Paul George expressed his readiness to support Jayson Tatum in his pursuit of the MVP award during his debut season with the Boston Celtics. The 36-year-old veteran arrived in Boston alongside multiple draft picks following a July trade with the Philadelphia 76ers that sent Jaylen Brown the other way. Speaking to 98.5 The Sports Hub, George stated he is motivated to prove himself and recognizes Tatum as the primary leader of the team.
Addressing fan skepticism regarding his age and past knee injuries, George explained that he embraces a complementary role and feels recovered entering the new season. He set a goal of playing between 50 and 60 games while staying healthy for the playoffs. George averaged 16.4 points during 11 postseason games for the 76ers last year before joining Boston.
