The Story in 60 Seconds

Borussia Dortmund defender Luca Reggiani is increasingly likely to leave the club, according to a report from Ruhr Nachrichten. The Italian center-back made nine senior appearances and scored one goal during a breakthrough period last season, but his first-team opportunities have diminished significantly this term.

Reggiani has reportedly fallen down the defensive hierarchy behind Nico Schlotterbeck, Waldemar Anton, Joane Gadou, Ramy Bensebaini, and Filippo Mané, with captain Emre Can't eventual return adding further competition. After playing 45 minutes for Dortmund's U23 side against SG Wattenscheid 09, a January transfer departure appears increasingly likely.
