Midfielder cleared to play in Liverpool’s very next fixture as suspension kicks in at a later date
Ryan Gravenberch will serve a one-match domestic suspension after receiving a red card for two bookable offences during Liverpool's Premier League defeat against Manchester City at Anfield. Referee Chris Kavanagh dismissed the midfielder in the 62nd minute following fouls on Elliot Anderson and Jeremy Doku. Following the dismissal, Manchester City secured victory through goals from Erling Haaland, Doku, and Rayan Cherki.
Because the suspension applies strictly to domestic competitions, Gravenberch remains eligible to play in Liverpool's upcoming Champions League fixture against LASK. However, he will miss the Premier League trip to Brentford on October 17 before becoming eligible to return against Brighton.
