Eddie Howe’s stance on Man United job emerges as pressure mounts on Carrick

Eddie Howe is reportedly interested in taking over as Manchester United manager as pressure mounts on Michael Carrick. United have recorded their worst league start in 40 years with six points from six games following a frustrating draw against 10-man Tottenham Hotspur. According to reports, the former Newcastle United boss has emerged as a genuine option for the club hierarchy should a managerial change occur.

While INEOS reportedly has no immediate plans to dismiss Carrick, the club leadership is weighing contingency options if poor results persist. Howe, who is currently without a club, is admired behind the scenes at Old Trafford. Antonio Conte is also reportedly among the experienced managers linked with the potential vacancy.
