Mohammed Shami has responded to questions about his fitness and bowling rhythm, saying he is focused on playing cricket rather than paying attention to outside comments.
Mohammed Shami addressed his continued omission from the Indian national cricket team, stating that external criticism regarding his fitness and rhythm does not bother him. The 36-year-old fast bowler made the remarks following a four-wicket haul for Bengal against Delhi in their Ranji Trophy opener, asserting that he remains entirely focused on playing wherever he is given an opportunity.
Shami was recently left out of India's squad for the T20I series against New Zealand, while fellow veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar earned a recall. Shami expressed happiness over Kumar's return after a four-year absence, arguing that talented performers deserve opportunities rather than being kept out for extended periods.
