Celtic fan Liam Connolly banned from football matches for two years after May 16 disorder at title celebrations in Glasgow left police and public injured.
A 38-year-old man has received a two-year football banning order following fan disorder during Celtic's Premiership title celebrations in Glasgow. Liam Connolly pleaded guilty to a breach of the peace offense at Glasgow Sheriff Court in October and was also handed a Community Payback Order for his actions.
The incident took place on May 16 in Glasgow's Trongate area, where thousands of supporters gathered following Celtic's victory over Hearts. Police Scotland reported that officers were targeted with glass bottles and missiles, resulting in serious injuries to two officers and hospital treatment for three members of the public.
