Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton made a frank admission about why he never rooted for Caitlin Clark when she was an NCAA star for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton explained on 'The Kittle Things' podcast that he refused to support Caitlin Clark during her collegiate career because he played for the Iowa State Cyclones, the bitter in-state rival of Clark's Iowa Hawkeyes. Despite acknowledging her talent as the nation's best player, Haliburton said he could not cheer for her even during the national championship.
Haliburton stated that he only began supporting Clark after she left Iowa to join the WNBA's Indiana Fever. Both athletes now represent Indiana professional franchises and look to bring basketball success to the state, with Haliburton leading the Pacers and Clark starring for the Fever.
