Toronto Maple Leafs rookie Gavin McKenna tied a 42-year-old franchise record for teenage players during Saturday's game against the Colorado Avalanche in Denver. McKenna assisted on William Nylander's second-period goal, extending his point streak to three consecutive games. The accomplishment matched a franchise milestone for players aged 18 or younger last achieved by Russ Courtnall in 1984.
McKenna, selected first overall by Toronto in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft, has tallied one goal and three assists during the three-game span. His point streak began on October 6 against Nashville, where he recorded his first NHL point.
