Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak reportedly had dinner with Andy Burnham at Etihad Stadium multiple times, according to a resurfaced register of interests

Andy Burnham has been accused of concealing ties to Manchester City following reports of dinner meetings with club chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak during his first term as Mayor of Greater Manchester. A previously deleted register of interests revealed Burnham received hospitality and attended two dinners with Al Mubarak at Etihad Stadium, events not directly mentioned in a recent GMCA statement.
The reported hospitality included an August 2017 dinner alongside Sir Richard Leese during an Everton match and an April 2018 Manchester derby dinner valued at £699. Combined with concert tickets, the total hospitality from the club reportedly reached £1,187, while Burnham maintains his only significant meeting occurred in 2021.
Both Man City and Paris Saint-Germain breached football’s financial regulations, but the Gulf state rivals could not have dealt with scrutiny more differently, writes IAN HERBERTDaily Mail
