France have suffered another major blow ahead of their Nations Championship campaign, with Toulouse lock Thibaud Flament ruled out for several weeks with a shoulder injury, French outlet L'Equipe have reported.

France lock Thibaud Flament has been ruled out of the upcoming Nations Championship campaign after suffering a shoulder injury, according to a report from L'Equipe. The Toulouse forward played a full match against Bayonne on Sunday, but the setback will reportedly sideline him for several weeks. The absence removes him from France's November international fixtures against Fiji, South Africa, and Argentina.
The injury adds to head coach Fabien Galthié's second-row concerns, as Emmanuel Meafou is already sidelined with a knee injury. Both locks are now set to miss the November 13 clash against the Springboks in Paris. Additionally, Toulouse will be without Flament, Meafou, and Clément Vergé for their Investec Champions Cup opener against Exeter Chiefs.
