India lost the fourth T20I by 24 runs while chasing 248 in Hyderabad

Sanju Samson identified Tilak Varma's dismissal as the crucial turning point following India's 24-run defeat to West Indies in the fourth T20I in Hyderabad. Chasing a target of 248, India slipped to 130 for 5 before Tilak and Nitish Kumar Reddy revived the chase, reducing the requirement to 48 off 19 balls until Romario Shepherd dismissed Tilak. Samson praised the young duo for handling the pressure and keeping India in contention.
Earlier in the match, Samson scored 56 runs off 23 balls to provide an initial platform. India also faced a potential setback ahead of the fifth T20I in Bengaluru, as bowler Arshdeep Singh retired hurt after being struck on the left shoulder by a Shamar Joseph delivery.
