Billy Heyen writes that Tarik Skubal may have thrown his last pitch for the Los Angeles Dodgers, as the team faces elimination in the NLCS. Trailing 3-0 against the Milwaukee Brewers, manager Dave Roberts stated that Skubal will not be available out of the bullpen for Game 4, putting the pending free agent's tenure in jeopardy if the Dodgers are swept.
Skubal was acquired by the Dodgers from the Detroit Tigers before the trade deadline for a package featuring prospects Zyhir Hope and River Ryan. With his contract expiring at the end of the season, Heyen notes that Skubal could command a free-agent contract approaching $350 million to $400 million.
