Fabio Wardley reveals his dream of investing in Ipswich Town as he prepares to face Daniel Dubois in their WBO heavyweight title rematch at the O2 Arena.
Suffolk heavyweight boxer Fabio Wardley has revealed his long-term ambition to invest in Ipswich Town. The 31-year-old fighter, who frequently sports the club's badge and colours in the ring, currently works with the Ipswich Town Foundation. Wardley noted that while he lacks the necessary finances at present, securing a stake in the club remains a major goal.
Wardley made the comments ahead of his world heavyweight title rematch against Daniel Dubois at London's O2 Arena. High-profile figures including Ed Sheeran, Udonis Haslem, and Marques Colston have already invested in Ipswich Town, and Wardley suggested that future major bouts could eventually allow him to contact club CEO Mark Ashton about an investment.
