Las Vegas bettor Shane Hennen pleaded guilty in federal court to participating in a betting scheme that utilized nonpublic information on NBA games and players. The guilty pleas, entered Wednesday in Philadelphia, represent a major update in the federal investigation involving NBA player Terry Rozier. Hennen also pleaded guilty to charges related to fixing NCAA and Chinese Basketball Association games.
Across both cases, Hennen admitted to sports bribery, aiding and abetting, and conspiracy involving wire fraud and money laundering. Prosecutors noted that Hennen's NBA-related plea does not establish the guilt of other defendants in the case. His sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 25, 2027.
