Ty'Ron Hopper made the most of his opportunities against the Bears. Here's what it could mean for the Packers' defense.

Ty'Ron Hopper is seizing an expanded role with the Green Bay Packers following a season-ending Achilles tear suffered by linebacker Edgerrin Cooper in Week 4. In Green Bay's Week 5 victory over the Chicago Bears, Hopper played 57 percent of defensive snaps and intercepted a fourth-down pass at the goal line from Bears quarterback Case Keenum. Head coach Matt LaFleur praised Hopper's preparation, fundamentals, and football knowledge after the breakout performance.
Hopper is now listed as a starter on the depth chart, marking a significant increase from playing just six defensive snaps over the first four weeks. While veteran Isaiah McDuffie also split time at the position, Lombardi Ave notes that Hopper's emergence could solidify his position as a primary contributor alongside defensive anchor Zaire Franklin. Green Bay's adjusted linebacker unit faces its next test against the Dallas Cowboys.
