Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold bluntly admitted "that one sucked" after his overtime interception led to a 17-14 defeat against the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High. After Seattle mounted a fourth-quarter comeback to erase an 11-point deficit, Darnold was intercepted by Broncos cornerback Ja'Quan McMillian on a third-and-7 in extra time, setting up Wil Lutz's game-winning 53-yard field goal.
The turnover was Darnold's second interception of the night, alongside an earlier pick by Kris Abrams-Draine. Darnold finished the game completing 27 of 51 passes for 278 yards, while Denver's defense registered five sacks and three takeaways. The loss dropped the defending Super Bowl champions to a 3-3 record on the season.
