The Story in 60 Seconds

Former SPFL player James Keatings has launched a children's football academy less than a year after his release from prison. The 34-year-old, who previously played for clubs including Hearts, Hibernian, and Dundee United, was sentenced to 13 months last year for money laundering after being caught transporting £400,000 in illicit cash. He served two months before being released in December.

Keatings' new initiative, named the 19 Football Academy, is based in North Lanarkshire and offers youth coaching, masterclasses, and one-to-one training. The venture has received backing from Motherwell defender Stephen O'Donnell, who contributed a signed Scotland jersey to help promote the academy across social media channels.
