“We all know…” – Agent speaks out on Liverpool’s interest in winger transfer

Nico Williams' agent, Felix Tainta, revealed that Liverpool was among several top European clubs interested in a permanent transfer for the Athletic Bilbao winger following Euro 2024. Speaking on the Los Fulanos podcast, Tainta explained that Liverpool, Barcelona, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain all pursued the Spain international before he chose to sign a contract renewal in Bilbao.

Tainta noted that while the 24-year-old was initially open to leaving for greater sporting ambitions, he ultimately decided to stay. The Empire of The Kop argues that missing out on Williams is not a major blow for Liverpool, citing his recent inconsistency and modest total of six goals across all competitions last season.
