The Orlando Magic have officially waived Malaki Branham, JD Davison, and Kevin Knox, according to a team announcement. All three players had signed Exhibit 10 contracts and are eligible to receive a bonus of up to $91,000 if they spend at least 60 days with the team's G League affiliate, the Osceola Magic. Each player featured in all four of Orlando's preseason matchups this fall before being released.
Keeping any of the trio would have pushed the Magic to within approximately $47,000 of the second tax apron, where they currently sit $2.5 million below the threshold. Branham and Davison were selected in the 2022 draft, while Knox is a seven-year league veteran who spent the 2025-26 season with the Windy City Bulls.
