The Story in 60 Seconds

Carlos Alcaraz has officially entered the upcoming ATP 500 Vienna Open just hours after the lucrative Six Kings Slam was postponed. The exhibition in Riyadh, which offered a £4.5m winner's prize, was moved from late October to December 27-30. Alcaraz will make his first appearance in Vienna since 2021, with organizers confirming his opening match is set for Tuesday, October 27.

The world No. 3 is seeking extra match play following an earlier five-month wrist injury layoff that forced him to miss the French Open and Wimbledon. After a recent shock third-round exit to Zizou Bergs at the Shanghai Masters, Alcaraz's schedule now includes Vienna, the Paris Masters, the ATP Finals in Turin, and the Davis Cup Finals.
