The Charlotte Hornets have reached the regular season roster limit by waiving guards Jarkel Joiner and Latrell Wrightsell, the team announced on Saturday. Both players had signed Exhibit 10 contracts with Charlotte ahead of the season and are now expected to report to the franchise's G League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm, this fall.
Joiner, an undrafted guard out of NC State who played four preseason games for Charlotte, had his returning rights acquired by Greensboro last month. Wrightsell, an undrafted rookie out of Alabama, did not appear in the preseason before being waived. Charlotte now stands at 15 guaranteed standard contracts and three two-way players.
