Wales centre Ben Thomas is set to miss the Nations Championship restart, but Taulupe Faletau is expected to return before November.

Wales and Cardiff centre Ben Thomas is set to miss the start of the upcoming Nations Championship campaign because of a calf injury. Cardiff head coach Corniel van Zyl confirmed the 27-year-old might not recover in time for Wales' opening fixtures in November against Japan and New Zealand, though he is expected to feature later in the tournament.
Meanwhile, Cardiff team-mate Taulupe Faletau is expected to return soon despite pulling out of last Saturday's match against Leinster with niggles. In-form back-rower Taine Basham stepped in as a late replacement and could be considered for a Wales recall by head coach Steve Tandy.
