Blackburn Rovers managed to keep Balazs Toth in the summer, and he is proving his worth game by game.

Writer Charlie Hodgson argues that Blackburn Rovers made the right decision by keeping goalkeeper Balazs Toth despite failed summer interest from Celtic. Celtic reportedly had a £2.5m bid rejected for the 29-year-old Hungarian international, who was attracted by Champions League football. Hodgson highlights Toth's vital saves, including an impressive performance in Blackburn's recent 1-0 away victory over Bristol City, as justification for retaining him under manager Tony Mowbray.
However, Hodgson notes that Blackburn Rovers still face a difficult dilemma regarding Toth's long-term future. With his contract expiring in June 2027, Toth has reportedly rejected multiple extension offers, putting the club at risk of losing him on a free transfer if an agreement is not reached.
