Sale Sharks struggled to contain Glasgow Warriors as seven tries condemned Alex Sanderson’s side to a heavy defeat in emotional circumstances following the death of former lock Hyron Andrews.

Glasgow Warriors defeated Sale Sharks 47-27 in a high-scoring Champions Cup encounter. The Scottish side ran in seven tries to hand Alex Sanderson's team a heavy defeat, despite an early effort from the hosts that included tries from Ben Curry, Arron Reed, and Rekeiti Maasi-White.
The match was played under emotional circumstances for Sale Sharks following the passing of former lock Hyron Andrews. Andrews died at the Johannesburg Lions team hotel ahead of their Champions Cup fixture against La Rochelle, leaving director of rugby Alex Sanderson disappointed that his team could not honor Andrews' memory with a victory.
