After blockbuster hat-trick vs. Inter Milan, Nicolò Tresoldi plays coy on international future

Club Brugge striker Nicolò Tresoldi is keeping his international future open after scoring a hat-trick in a 4-3 Champions League victory against Inter Milan. The forward noted that he holds Italian and German heritage, while his mother is Argentinian, giving him eligibility to represent all three national teams. Tresoldi stated that he will take his time before making an official decision on his international career.

Chuck Smith of Bavarian Football Works argues that the German Football Association should actively pursue Tresoldi to strengthen the national team's attacking depth. While acknowledging that family ties could sway the striker toward Italy or Argentina, the writer suggests Germany must present an attractive long-term sporting project before rival federations make decisive moves.
