Bayern Munich suffered two major injury blows within the opening thirty minutes of their match against Borussia Dortmund at the Allianz Arena. Attacker Ismael Saibari was substituted in the 25th minute after appearing to twist his ankle during a challenge with goalkeeper Gregor Kobel. Shortly afterward, forward Serge Gnabry also picked up an injury and was forced to leave the pitch.
Manager Aaron Danks introduced Nathaniel Brown for Saibari and Josip Stanišić for Gnabry, prompting Alphonso Davies to push up into an attacking role. The setbacks add to Bayern Munich's growing injury list, which already includes Manuel Neuer, Jamal Musiala, and Luis Diaz.
