Borussia Dortmund suffered a 1-0 defeat away against Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night. Following a goalless first half, Fredrik Sjøvold scored the decisive goal in the 52nd minute by slotting a low cross from Sondre Auklend past Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel.
Dortmund manager Niko Kovač made several lineup changes from the weekend and responded to the deficit with a quadruple substitution after the hour mark. Despite late pressure and chances from Felix Nmecha, Serhou Guirassy, and Ethan Nwaneri, Bodø/Glimt goalkeeper Nikita Haikin held firm to secure the victory.
