Edin Džeko played his last game for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the entertaining 1-1 draw with Sweden.

FC Schalke striker Edin Džeko has retired from international football after playing his final match for Bosnia and Herzegovina in a 1-1 draw against Sweden. Fans at Bilino Polje in Zenica celebrated the 40-year-old forward during his 152nd and final cap, setting off fireworks in the 11th minute to honor his longtime shirt number.
Džeko had a first-half stoppage-time goal disallowed after an earlier ball went out of bounds before he was substituted past the hour mark. Sweden took the lead through Viktor Gyokeres before Kerim Alajbegović equalized for Bosnia and Herzegovina, with Džeko now returning to focus solely on Schalke.
