"It’s only a matter of time" before Niko Kovac extends his contract as Borussia Dortmund coach, says CEO Carsten Cramer.

Borussia Dortmund chief Carsten Cramer has confirmed that head coach Niko Kovac is close to signing a contract extension. Speaking to SID, Cramer stated that extending Kovac's stay is only a matter of time due to the high appreciation for his work at the club.
Kovac's current deal is set to expire at the end of the season, and the new agreement is expected to keep him at Dortmund until 2029. While final discussions were delayed by the international break, the Croatian manager has been leading the team since February 2025.
