Hoffenheim suffered a 3-2 home defeat to Beşiktaş this evening despite Koki Machida’s late goal offering a glimmer of hope for Christian Ilzer’s side, who have now lost four consecutive matches in all competitions.

Hoffenheim suffered a 3-2 home loss against Beşiktaş in their Europa League clash, marking their fourth straight defeat in all competitions. After a scoreless first half, Michael Murillo opened the scoring for Beşiktaş on the hour mark. Fisnik Asllani equalized for Christian Ilzer's side eight minutes later, but a quick brace from Hyeon-Gyu Oh put the Turkish visitors firmly in control.
Koki Machida managed to reduce the deficit to 3-2 with an 88th-minute header from Vladimir Coufal's corner. However, Hoffenheim were unable to find an equalizer during stoppage time, leaving them defeated in both of their opening Europa League fixtures.
