“It’s true that we met!” – Hoeneß confirms he met Pep Guardiola in München

Bayern Munich figures Uli Hoeneß and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge met with former manager Pep Guardiola for dinner in Munich on Monday. Guardiola was in the region for an appointment with sponsor Puma in Herzogenaurach and took the opportunity to visit his former club leaders. Hoeneß confirmed the meeting to BILD, noting that the group shares a close friendship and enjoyed a wonderful evening together.

Current Bayern manager Vincent Kompany was also invited to the dinner at Guardiola's request. However, Kompany had to decline because he was attending a coaches' conference in Stuttgart. Hoeneß expressed hopes to reschedule the dinner with Kompany and Guardiola at the next available opportunity.
