Real Madrid vs. RB Leipzig preview: Team news and predicted lineups

Real Madrid host RB Leipzig at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu on Wednesday in the 2026/27 Champions League. The match features winger Yan Diomande facing his former club following his transfer of up to €140 million last summer. Real Madrid enter the clash in strong form, with Diomande registering goal involvements in three straight games after scoring and assisting in a 4-1 win over Sevilla.

RB Leipzig arrive in Madrid under pressure after suffering a 6-1 defeat to Bayern Munich, marking their fourth consecutive away loss this season. Martin Demichelis' side will miss Christoph Baumgartner due to a hamstring injury and Assan Ouedraogo with a shoulder issue. Meanwhile, Real Madrid will be without Raúl Asencio, who has a tibia injury, and Rodrygo, who is sidelined with ligament damage.
