Nico Schlotterbeck acknowledges that Bayern Munich are the favourites for the title but believes Borussia Dortmund can challenge them and that they proved it in Saturday's game at the Allianz Arena.
Borussia Dortmund defender Nico Schlotterbeck believes his club is underrated in Germany and can sustain a Bundesliga title challenge against Bayern Munich. Speaking to Kicker following Dortmund's 2-2 draw at the Allianz Arena on Saturday, Schlotterbeck asserted that the team proved they can cause Bayern problems despite widespread criticism of their playing style.
The draw left Dortmund level on points with league leaders Bayern Munich, trailing solely on goal difference. While Schlotterbeck acknowledged Bayern remain title favorites, he emphasized that Dortmund earned a deserved point and possess the quality to keep the race competitive over the remaining matchdays.
