Birmingham City pair expected to return to training during international break

Birmingham City players Max Bird and Taylor Gardner-Hickman are expected to return to training over the upcoming international break, according to a report by BirminghamLive. Both players have been sidelined in recent weeks, but manager Chris Davies hopes to have them back up to speed before their return to action on October 10. Winger Demarai Gray is also reportedly making good recovery progress.

Bird joined Birmingham City from Bristol City during the summer on a contract running through June 2029. Gardner-Hickman returned to the club after spending last season on loan at Blackburn Rovers. Following an earlier 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough, Birmingham City sit in 10th place in the Championship table after eight fixtures.
