Burnley Women signed off for the international break with a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon.
Burnley Women suffered a 2-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon prior to the international break. Nottingham Forest forward Tuva Espas scored both goals, sliding in a 43rd-minute cross from Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah before tapping in a second 18 minutes from time following a spill by Burnley goalkeeper Jackie Burns.
Despite Burns making several crucial saves and the Clarets pushing for chances through Thea Paul and Leah Galton, Burnley were unable to find the net. The result leaves manager Jackie Bachteler's team in 11th place with two points from five matches in the Barclays Women's Super League 2.
